Pearl of Orient-Penang

I am from Penang, the Pearl of Orient. A place that full of heritage buildings. I like the nostalgic feeling that shows in many corners of Penang, especially in Georgetown, the city center.

One of the attraction of Penang, is the Temple of Goddess of mercy. Its one of the oldest temple in Penang located on Pitt street. Along the street, there is also Masjid Kapitan Keling, the oldest mosque in Penang. Beautiful architecture. Not far away is another Hindu temple. The Pitt Street is a street where 3 major religious shrine located.

Food in Ho Chi Minh City

From left to right: Coffee, baguette from Bent Coffee House, Beef Pho and KFC snack deal.
We tried out very nice baguette with roasted pork, super delicious. Crunchy baguette, juicy pork and beautifully hand crafted coffee, with unbelievable reasonable price at Bent Coffee House, Ho Chi Minh City. Their French colonization really showing influences there, I can see that from their baguette :)

Another food that must try is the Pho. The super nice clear soup of beefy rice noodle soup, with bunch of basil leaves for you to add in for obtaining the authentic exotic taste. We tried at Pho 24.

Sad thing, we gave our first meal there to KFC. Was starving after the hours of bus journey and wanted something with fixed price after the lesson from the taxi driver who conned us. Its was normal, but the waiters there can't even understand basic English.
